May 20th - Blue Lagoon trip

So today was Blue lagoon, with the package we had we got 3 face masks each and two beverages plus the robe.

We did our best to listen to the instructions when we arrived but what an operation.  Both Bob and I were confused by the lockers and how they worked but people helped us out, in separate dressing rooms I should clarify.  There had been a woman on the bus going to the lagoon  going on about conditioning your hair before going into the waters so I was so focused on that getting into the shower you have to take before going into the pools I forgot to take off my glasses.  So I spent most of the time not being able to see much, since with the cold air, mist and water covered glasses my vision was not great.

We did do the facemasks before Bob went and got his phone so sorry no pics like that.  These pics also after our first complimentary drink, Bob beer and me Sparking wine.




We were surprised there were not a ton of people there as today is a national holiday so not much for tourists to do.  But as you can see lots of space to float around.

We both were able to figure out how to make our way back to the lockers and find our stuff.  And both fell asleep on the way back to town.  We did get to see the new lava fields from the recent eruptions so that was cool. 


Having a quiet time before heading out a last holiday dinner as we head back tomorrow.  The car will pick us up at the hotel at 11 so we have lots of time to spend in the lounge at the airport.

It has been a wonderful holiday but I will be happy to get home so I can see dark again at night, this 24 hours of light has really messed with me.

Tuesday April 30th - Leave for London

  Limo pick us up at noon and we head to YYZ Bags were packed early and we got picked up early by our Blacklane driver.  Quick trip to YYZ.  No lines at all at check in or security so safely in the lounge awaiting our flight.and  Bob found the sweet cart and the bar so we are good. We might even squeeze in a glass of bubbly.  Flights on American Airlines Leaving from Toronto to Charlotte North Carolina at 4:15 pm. This flight was delayed to 5:10 so we did not have much time to make our flight connection in Charlotte, luckily we were at front of the plane and the next gate was only about 15 minutes away.   Luckily had been checked through so Bob was able to have a quick Beer and sing O Canada before the Leaf game started, we have not watched it yet but know they won, all due to the singing in the bar. Flight to London Heathrow was good, lots of room up front.    Had a few bevies and dinner and then a nap.  It was quite bumpy so not much sleep....

May 11th - Tobermory and Duart

  ·          Morning ·          Tobermory,  Scotland, United Kingdom     Due to something about crazy water conditions we had our port changed to Tobermory, which was wonderful.  We did a wonderful hike for about 2 1/2 hours along the coast and then up to the top of the cliff.   Then into town for a quick look around and Bob got a pint, it was only 11 am so too early for me so had a pink lemonade. Bob did buy a tshirt to wear when he goes diving in the Canadian Tobermory.  It was hot almost mid70’s so one man in our group hiked without his shirt on, no pics of this as not something you want to see.      We then had a light lunch on our balcony as we cruise to our next stop for the day the castle listed below.
